So it looks like Luigi Mangione — the suspected assassin who became an avatar for the repressed, violent urges that people have towards America’s ruling class — is an appreciator of Ted Kaczynski. (See below for his review of Ted’s expanded manifesto, posted this year on Goodreads, in which he explicitly talks about the need for violence.)
I also like Ted. I don’t agree with everything he says. But how can I not be sympathetic to his overall critique of our death cult industrial civilization and his attempt to do something about it? Still, though, when I reread Ted a few years ago I realized that his plan and vision for violently attacking the technological society has a fatal flaw built into: in order to maintain a global anti-technological society you’d need to deploy control and technology on a global scale. I wrote about it here, in case you missed it:
Evgenia and I also recorded an ep on Ted Kaczynski when he passed away in prison last year. You can listen to it here:

PS: Not many people know but while in Harvard, Ted was the unwitting subject of a CIA experiment which may or may not have been MKULTRA. A very shady story.
