Going to an NRA convention to find the "Mark Zuckerberg of guns"
yasha.substack.com
I thought I’d repost something that I wrote eight years ago about my trip to an NRA convention and my search of the elusive “smart gun” — newfangled safety technology that Silicon Valley investors here in San Francisco were promising was going to be a miracle fix for one of America’s most depressing political problems: gun massacres.
Hey, kinda way tangential, but is Pando gone because nobody wanted to pay to keep it hosted or some other reason?
Haven't had a chance to read the article you resurfaced yet, and I will; just piqued my curiosity that it's gone/not available which is something that's been happening to me a lot lately in doing research on russia-ukraine and geopolitics (usually on controversial or currently disallowed topics).
Thanks for reposting. People need to be reminded how the NRA killed smart guns. They want guns as non-smart and gullible as their supporters.
