In the last couple of days nobody has said a word about any of this to me … friend or stranger .
So, somehow …reality is somehow being treated or considered as optional (?!)
Reality is certainly not ‘positive’ enough by contemporary standards of healthy optimistic living & we’re increasingly fearful of ‘spreading’ negativity by noting or commenting on IT ( reality ).
I think we’re tacitly agreeing to ‘wait IT out ‘.
As if reality were a passing thunderstorm .
I think it will be increasingly common to be generally unable to detect ourselves doing this as we are disconnecting from feedback ( sensory / sensible relations with our situation & actions) !

Sadly, another reason that each of the school and other mass shootings don't stay in the headlines is that there's almost always another one happening in the period during which some remarks are normally clapped back with "too soon."
