A writer for Jacobin tried to figure out what post-left Compact and its founder are all about with their mix of anti-neoliberalism, trad Christian community values, and economic populism. Not as illuminating I hoped.

Destroying Eastern Ukraine to Save It — Makes some of the same points Evgenia and I have been making since the start of this war: Putin didn’t have to do the invasion. He did it because he wanted it, not because his hand was forced.
