Polanski and Wiseau

We got an eclectic episode for you this week. We talk about two Polish filmmakers and their work: Tommy Wiseau and his film The Room, which we saw last week in San Francisco — with Tommy in person selling his mech and answering questions. And Roman Polanski and his latest film, The Soldier and the Spy, which was cancelled in America and never released but which we just watched through illicit channels. But before we talk about all that, we discuss the peculiarities of language in San Francisco’s Russian/Soviet community.
