Rowan and I were starting to plan out a big roll-out for Pistachio Wars this spring with screenings in NYC and LA and Bakersfield…followed by a general release on the internet. But because of the fires in LA, there has been an overwhelming interest in the politics of water and development and growth in California ,and so we realized we couldn't delay. We needed to make it public as quickly as possible.
So, by popular demand, the film is out now. Watch it here!

Both Rowan and I have lived in LA and know people who are suffering right now — people who had their houses burn down or are worried about having to evacuate or are just shocked and breathing the toxic air. I think that people in LA and California and beyond should know about the people and systems that have allowed unchecked development to rage across the state, creating mega-cities and mega-farms…setting up the conditions for catastrophe. People should know about the ecocidal terraforming system that underpins the California way of life.
Things are only gonna worse with every year. So we need to figure out ways to change the world we live in, as impossible as that may seem to us.

Dammit, Yasha. I FIND THE TIMING OF THIS RELEASE TO BE SUSPICIOUS.
Or AUSPICIOUS, one or the other...
Hide your lighters & any gas cans before the California State Fire Marshall's office investigators arrive!
(I forwarded link to the documentary on to my pissed off & freaked out partner, who had been in LA all last week & is trying to escape from LA tomorrow if the airport is open)
